about

When downloaded, this is an 8 track album forming a full length live show of about 90 minutes.

It was recorded in Sydney at a Retired Servicemens League Club in Newtown in 2006. The venue is no longer a venue and the show is full of things im slightly ashamed of now - outdated references to myspace, a bit that has the exact rhythm and delivery of a Bill Hicks bit. Factual Inaccuracies all over the shop, a misquoted film, the simplification of a friends work, an embarrasingly pubescent call to arms and the misnaming of Geoffrey Chaucer as "Henry".

Having said all that, even though it's scattered with things i no longer think or believe, it's got stuff in it that i still really like and am pretty proud of. It was the first show where i realised i could work things out onstage, that i could disagree with myself and that i didn't need to know what i thought in order to talk about things. I could talk about not knowing what i thought. I could use the contradictions. It was my most polemic and opinionated piece of work up until that point and felt, to me at least, like an exciting development.

Realistically though, I think it's probably just a mildly interesting period piece for the eager completist.

about

Daniel Kitson UK

Hello.

I am a stand up comedian.

There'll be a variety of recordings here, some better quality than others. Some free, some pay what you think, some for a price.

Sometimes the money will go to me. Sometimes me and (long term collaborator) Gavin Osborn. Sometimes to charitable organisations. Sometimes to corrupt public officials. And sometimes to unsustainable dictatorships.

Bye Bye.
